Attendance and Punctuality
At Stamford Hill Primary School we consider good attendance and punctuality vital for every child’s educational progress. For children to do well they need to be in school every day.
There is an overwhelming connection between those pupils who are frequently absent and those who go on to underachieve in their future. However, we do understand that children have minor illnesses and at times are too sick to attend school.
If your child is ill and cannot attend school, or there is any other reason, please ring the school office on the first day of absence by 9:15am. If your child has a medical/dental appointment we would need to see proof of this, although we would advise you to try to ensure all such appointments if possible are booked outside of the school day.
We operate a ‘Soft Start’ to school at 8:45am where the children go straight to class where activities are set up to support their learning in preparation for the beginning of the school day at 9:55am.
We have an Attendance Team who work very hard to make sure our attendance and punctuality are as good as they can be. Please come and see them if you need support with attendance and punctuality. This team consists of:
Miss Ali- Deputy Headteacher
Miss Katie- Office Manager
Miss Jacqui- Attendance Officer/Learning Mentor
